Having always wanted my own business, I was thrilled when a life change helped me to look for a new career. Well, actually, the thrill came much later. First came the--What am I going to do? And I found that before I could make the change, I needed to ask myself some questions. Like...What is my soul's purpose? What really makes me truly happy? How can I live life on my own terms, with a sense of balance, joy and universal connectedness?
I realized that for me, the answer was being in the kitchen and making people smile...making yummy treats and sharing that feeling with others. I realized that its okay for life to be good, to be simple, to be prosperous. And I wanted to share that feeling with others, too. Sometimes its difficult for women, especially in transition, to believe that we CAN be gentle with ourselves and successful at what we do while maintaining a good balance in life. But I wanted to share the power of that realization with other women...and along came Babycake Truffles!!
Babycake Truffles are simple, luscious little chocolate treats. A little like cake balls but more complex. Created from recipes graciously handed down through generations. They are lovingly handmade and imperfect. Like the women who make them. Created in an atmosphere of nurturing acceptance and support.
When I started this project, I imagined standing next to other women and mixing a bowl of batter, talking about life and the world and nothing at all. Sharing stories and laughing. That's how I like my kitchen. And that's how we work in my kitchen. These truffles are sent into the world with love. When I prepare an order, I think of the bride and groom, of their guests..I think of the corporation, the event, the family and the faces that will be enjoying them--and I pour good thoughts and energy into every piece.
